I believe Mike Millard did record the whole show but the A tape is missing. The A tape contained the main set. The B tape is the encore which happened to be the show where Bruce showed up.

I was there. 1981 Santa Monica Civic. I was on 11th grade at Santa Monica High School. We got the in line outside the Civic the night before. We were close to the stage. Pretenders were so incredible. Then at the Encore Bruce came out. Ya, they sang higher and higher. There was another song he sang with her. I can’t remember anymore. Probably the greatest n dry I ever been to other than Parliament at Santa Monica Civic, too!!
