This tour, in support of Flowers In The Dirt, is Paul McCartney’s first tour since 1979’s Wings UK tour, and his first world tour since 1976. People were ready and he brought it. He played 31 songs (lots of Beatles songs) in his marathon set at the LA Forum, and Mike Millard was there to capture it.

Achtung Baby was U2’s high water mark and what an album it was! JEMS has released another Mike Millard master recording, and it’s April 12, 1992 at the Los Angeles Sports Arena. It’s a great show from a great band promoting a great album. You can’t go wrong.

This is an excellent audience recording of Lou Reed touring in support of his New York album (one of the best albums of his career, and of the 80’s in general), at the Olympia Theater in Paris, June 23, 1989. He plays New York almost in its entirety, and the plays a bunch of songs from his whole career. It’s great.

This is a very mellow, Grateful Dead/Allman Brothers-esque jam From February 8. 1970 at the Boston Tea Party. Jim Gordon from Derek and the Dominos plays drums. The connection between Peter Green (rest in peace) and Eric Clapton borders on telepathic. It’s uncanny.

This a wonderful show. July 17, 1973 in Seattle, Washington, Led Zeppelin blazes through their 9th North American Tour. I use two fantastic matrix sources, ZepHead315’s and Dario Romero’s remaster.

We get another Mike Millard master from JEMS, and it’s the Rolling Stones, October 22, 1989 in Los Angeles. A great capture of the reunited Rolling Stones on their Steel Wheels tour. I play 2000 Light Years from Home, Gimme Shelter, Miss You, and Tumbling Dice.

This is the evening show at Toronto’s Rockpile on August 18, 1969. Led Zeppelin is barreling through their North American Summer 1969 tour like a Mongol horde, taking no prisoners and conquering all they encounter.
